Evidence from the library (gloves on!), a warrant from Rick's office, a confession on the staircase. Rick pays in gunpowder; Sal's love letter sends him off and leaves a lollipop.

The castle top's key opens the Sherlock Bones door: from the first maze room, keep walking left through four rooms. Through the foggy street is THE LIBRARY, with a body on the floor and things lying about.

This is a crime scene, and Seymour mustn't leave fingerprints: carry the rubber gloves when you pick up the deck of cards. Take one dollar too.

Next, the warrant. Through the maze to Rick Bracy's door; his office is RICK BRACY, and the warrant lies on its floor at the left.

With warrant, deck and dollar (the gloves can go back to MGAMBA VILLAGE), go to The Big Country, press action at SALS SALOON's door and walk right to THE STAIRCASE. The cowboy there won't let anyone up, but faced with all three…

Back to Rick, who sits up in the corner of his office: the lift in THE COP SHOP (next door) takes you up to his level.

Leave the keg of gunpowder in Rick's corner: it's for chapter 12. Now the staircase is free. Go back up it, along THE LANDING (its two doors never open) and A CORRIDOR, and press action at the corridor's door: A BEDROOM, and Sal.
