Rick says there's been a murder

Rick Bracy makes Seymour his deputy: "THERES BEEN A MURDER! AND YOURE THE GUY TO SOLVE IT!" Then: "ITS NOT ENOUGH SEYMOUR, WE NEED THE WARRANT AND AT LEAST TWO PIECES OF EVIDENCE!!!"
Nudge 1Where to look
Find the body first: it's on another detective's film set, the one with the fog.
Nudge 2A stronger push
The evidence lies in the room with the body. A warrant is official paper: Rick has it in his own office.
Nudge 3Almost there
Two pieces of evidence and the warrant are what a suspect needs to see too, before he'll come quietly. The suspect is on the staircase of the Wild West saloon (The cowboy on the staircase throws me back).
What you needOther problems to solve first
Solve these first (each opens its own page, no answers on the way):
Show the solutionThe whole answer, with a video
- The arrest warrant lies on the floor of Rick's office (left side).
- Behind the Sherlock Bones door is THE LIBRARY, with the body ("OH GOLLY! HE IS DEAD!"), a marked deck of cards and three dollar pieces. Take the deck and a dollar, wearing the rubber gloves (I got arrested!).
- Show warrant, deck and dollar to the cowboy on THE STAIRCASE in The Big Country: "ITS A FAIR COP ILL GO QUIETLY" (The cowboy on the staircase throws me back).
- Come back to Rick with all three: "SEYMOUR, YOU FIXED HIM GOOD! HERES THE EXPLOSIVES WE FOUND ON HIM". He keeps the evidence and leaves a keg of gunpowder. You'll want it in Dirk's office (Finding the film script).
Why it works
Rick's script checks the cowboy's flag first, then the warrant, the deck and any one of the dollars, and the fingerprint flag last.
