Polly wants a pirate
In this chapter
Parrot food leads the parrot, hop by hop, to the pirate's hut. The grateful pirate gives up a dagger and a studio key.
The pirate in CHEZ TARZAN's hut won't let anybody in ("AND WHERE MIGHT YOU BE GOIN??"), and he's missing something from his shoulder. The parrot in ISNT THIS HIGH? is his Polly, and she follows food.
Climb back up to the hut in ISNT THIS HIGH? with the parrot food. First pick up the barrel by the door, and the thing hidden under it ("BY GOLLY!", but that's for the very end of the game: take it out of the hut and leave it in ISNT THIS HIGH?).

Put the food down on the block where the barrel stood. The parrot flies to it and circles it, and her circle takes her out through the door.

Pick the food up again, follow her out, and put it down at the far left of ISNT THIS HIGH?: she circles past the edge into CHEZ TARZAN. Pick it up once more and put it down on the platform just right of the pirate's door. She flies in.

He's too happy to guard anything now. Take the dagger and the studio key; leave the food.

Down through the trees, past Tarzan and into the maze. Two maze rooms on (left from the first, then right off the second's right edge) is the room with The Big Country's door, and left of it the one with King Kong's. Leave the dagger in Kong's door room for later, then open The Big Country's door with the new key.

Put the key down inside THE BIG COUNTRY: its door stays open now. More: The parrot won't leave its hut, The pirate won't let me in, A door in the maze won't open.
