The Oscars
Sixteen Oscars, sixteen would-be stars. The last stretch of the game, one reveal at a time.
With the movie script in his hands, Seymour learns that the whole cast is in Miami with Dirk. "WHERE ON EARTH CAN I FIND 16 ACTORS??!" Everybody on the lot is happy to be in the film, for a price: an Oscar.
The rules:
- Ask anyone while carrying the movie script: "HI THERE! DO YOU WANT TO BE IN MY NEW MOVIE?". Without the script they want to see it first; without an Oscar they want one.
- With the script and an Oscar carried, they say yes and take the Oscar. Any Oscar will do for anyone.
- When the sixteenth Oscar is handed over, the game is won.
Most Oscars are hidden under scenery you can pick up. With the script, the scenery and the Oscar all wanting a slot, the inventory fills up: put the script down nearby, pick up the scenery, put it down out of the way, pick up the Oscar, then the script again (how the inventory works).
Where they are
Sixteen Oscars, one behind each click, by the place they're in. Each answer has a video.
THE LIFT
Under the yukka plant on the right of the lift room. Pick up the plant, put it down elsewhere, and the Oscar is there.
SPECIAL EFFECTS
Under the barrel on the high floor of SPECIAL EFFECTS (The high floor in Special Effects).
The parrot's hut (ISNT THIS HIGH?)
Under the barrel in the hut. You may well have found this one early, while leading the parrot (The parrot won't leave its hut).
The hut in MGAMBA VILLAGE
Under the packing case in the hut where the leather jacket was.
MORE TREE HUTS
Behind the wooden window high on the right of MORE TREE HUTS. Jump for it.
MGAMBA TREE HUTS
Under a clump of leaves on the right of MGAMBA TREE HUTS.
A CORRIDOR (The Big Country)
Under the packing case in A CORRIDOR, upstairs in the saloon.
A BEDROOM (The Big Country)
Under the bedknob on Sal's bed.
THE STAIRCASE (The Big Country)
Under the chandelier leg hanging over THE STAIRCASE. It can only be taken standing on the hanging chandelier: climb from INSIDE SAUCY SALS by the piano stool, the piano and the chandeliers there, across onto it. Take the leg, and the chandelier falls; the Oscar it hid can then be grabbed at the top of a jump from the bar.
SHERLOCK BONES
Under a clump of leaves hanging on the foggy street. Both the leaves and the Oscar are high: pick them up at the top of a jump.
THE LOCKUP (Rick Bracy)
Under the packing case in THE LOCKUP, down the Cop Shop's lift.
FRANK EINSTEIN
Under the piece of railing on FRANK EINSTEIN's upper left.
THE SECRET LAB (Frank Einstein)
Lying in plain sight in THE SECRET LAB (Reaching the secret lab).
CASTLE EXIT (The Wizard of Oz)
Under a clump of leaves high on the right of CASTLE EXIT, near the castle top.
THE SPACE BASE (Flash Boredom)
Under the air vent in THE SPACE BASE (left room). Mind the patrol.
MINGS ARMOURY (Flash Boredom)
Lying in MINGS ARMOURY, above the space base. Getting there is the trick: Reaching Ming's armoury.
